About Britt

Hi, I'm Brittany.

I'm an Accredited Social Worker, Counsellor, and Therapeutic Personal Trainer, and I believe lasting wellbeing happens when we stop treating our mental and physical health as separate.

Throughout my career, I've worked alongside individuals, couples, families, and young people navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, relationship challenges, parenting, and major life transitions. Again and again, I saw the same pattern, people often knew what they wanted to change, but struggled to make those changes stick.

That experience led me to a simple belief: lasting change isn't created through therapy alone, and it isn't created through exercise alone. It happens when our thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and bodies are supported together.

That's why I created The Therapeutic PT.

The Therapeutic PT was built to bridge the gap between mental health and movement; bringing together evidence-based therapy, strength and movement coaching, and behaviour change support into one integrated approach. Whether you're working through anxiety, rebuilding confidence, improving your relationship with exercise, or simply wanting to feel more like yourself again, my goal is to help you create meaningful, sustainable change that fits your life.

My approach is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and grounded in compassion. I draw on therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), attachment-informed practice, and strengths-based approaches, while recognising that every person's journey is different. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, so every plan is tailored to your goals, values, and circumstances.

I don't believe growth comes from shame, perfection, or pushing harder.

I believe it comes from feeling safe enough to try, fail, learn, adapt, and begin again.

Whether you're looking for therapy, therapeutic personal training, or a truly integrated approach to your wellbeing, you're welcome here. My hope is that you'll leave every session feeling more capable, more connected, and more confident than when you arrived because lasting wellbeing isn't about becoming someone else; it's about becoming more fully yourself.
